Dear Diary,
I have always enjoyed drawing and painting every since I was a child. Won more awards and certificates than I can count. Somewhere down the lane, I lost touch with it. Not that I had outgrown it, i was just unable to make time for it. Recently, I came across this painting that a friend posted on Facebook and I fell in love with it at the first glance. Something about it resonated with me so strongly I couldn't resist saving it to my gallery. Ever since the lockdown started I have gotten a lot of time to get in touch with these hobbies that once fulfilled me. I have my own blog now that I am absolutely proud of (follow me of you don't already @unpopularcook). l also learnt editing, a skill that comes in so handy! I made a few fridge posters (tiny ones) but drawing and painting from scratch was something I didn't do. This weekend, I took that "me time" and finally tried to imitate this beautiful painting. After nearly 5 years I made something this beautiful. Although this could have been better I couldn't be happier on how it eventually turned out. I had limited supplies (very unlike me - I have stationary stored in abundance, yes, I have a problem!) so I had to improvise. Considering that I think I did a pretty good job which definitely called for a self appreciation post! Sharing this with you now!
